SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Yangon Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (5.39) inches in Machanbaw, (4.41) inches in Bhamo, (4.25) inches in Coco Island, (4.02) inches in Launglon, (3.07) inches in Dawei, (2.56) inches in Chaungsone, (2.17) inches in Ye, (2.09) inches in Thabeikkyin, (1.90) inches in Paing Kyone, (1.85) inches in Thaton and (1.81) inches in Gwa.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong to vigorous elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 06th September, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, LowerSagaing, Magway Regions and Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, MandalayRegions and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9 -12)feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and (5-7)feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon over the the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
