SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (7.12) inches in Kawthaung, (5.32) inches in Nyaunglaybin, (5.00) inches in Putao, (3.90) inches in Kamamaung, (3.66) inches in Maungdaw, (3.11) inches each in Pyinoolwin and Khayan, (2.52) inches in Ann,(2.50) inches in Thazi, (2.48) inches each in Theikchaung(Zayarthiri) and Theinzayet, (2.32) inches in Shwekyin, (2.01)inches in Ye and (1.73) inches in Kani.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 03rdSeptember, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw,Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate inMyanmarwaters. Wave height will be about (6-8)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
