BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh-South Odisha coasts still persists. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th August, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw,Mandalay and MagwayRegions, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Ragions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height willbe about (7 – 9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Weakmonsoon.
