SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours,rain or thundershowers have been isolated inLower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Eastern Shan, Mon States and widespread in Kachin and Rakhine States with isolated heavyfalls in KachinState.The noteworthy amount of rainfallrecorded were(5.51) inches inMyitkyina, (1.77) inches in Homalin, (1.54) inches in Mogaung, (1.34) inches inPaung, (1.30) inches in Hkamti, (1.22) inches in Kani and (1.14)incheseach in Paletwa and Sittwe.
BAY INFERENCE:Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rdAugust, 2021:Rainor thundershowers will bewidespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States,scattered in Naypyitaw,Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regionsand (Northern and Southern) Shan, Kayin, Mon States andisolated in the remaining Ragions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Kachin State.Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate inMyanmarwaters. Wave height will be about (4 -7)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
