SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah and Mon States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Yangon Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Magway Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.20) inches in Dawei, (1.93) inches in Pauk, (1.89) inches in Kyaukpyu, (1.22) inches in Minesat, (1.14) inches in Bago, (1.06) inches in Putao, (0.91) inch in Ann, (0.90) inches in Saw and (0.79) inch each in Kyaukmae and Manaung.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd August, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Chin, Rakhine States and widespread in Taninthayi Region.Degree of certainty is (100%).
