SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region, fairly widespread in Yangon Region and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (3.15) inches in Bhamo, (3.03) inches in Tamu, (2.83) inches in Mogoke, (2.72) inches in Maungdaw, (2.25) inches in Kyaukpyu, (2.13) inches each in Paletwa and Thabeikkyin, (1.97) inches each in Muse and Hkamtiand (1.81) inches in Myitkyina.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th August, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon Regions and Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
