SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway Region, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago,Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in MandalayRegion. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (3.74) inches in Mogoke, (2.68) inches in Kamamaung, (2.25) inches in Paing Kyone, (2.13) inches in Myitkyina, (1.97) inches in Kungyangon, (1.93) inches in Hkamti, (1.89) inches in Mogaung,(1.54) inches in Sittwe and (1.50) inches in Khayan.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th August, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway Region, scattered in Lower Saging, Mandalay Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and SouthernShan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7–9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-7) feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
