SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region and (Northern and Eastern) Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago,Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (3.90) inches in Maungdaw, (3.46) inches in Putao, (3.43) inches in Kyauktaw, (3.27) inches in Hkamti, (2.56) inches in Ann, (2.40) inches in Launglon, (2.28) inches in Kawkareik, (2.17) inches in Hpa-an, (1.85) inches in Phyu, (1.77) inches each in Naypyitaw(Otarathiri) and Sittwe, (1.61) inches in Chaungsone and (1.57) inches each in Mogoke and Shwegwun.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 09th August, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Eastern Shan State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Southern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago Regions and Northern Shan, Chin Statesand widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, RakhineStates. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmarwaters. Wave height will be about (5 - 7)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weak to moderate monsoon.
