SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Magway Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (10.71) inches in Paung, (9.92) inches in Mawlamyine, (8.34) inches in Paing Kyone, (7.83) inches in Mudon, (7.80) inches in Kawkareik, (7.54) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (7.28) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (7.05) inches in Chaung Sone, (7.01) inches in Hpa-an, (6.88) inches each in Kyeikdon and Kyeikkhame, (6.46)inches in Kyaukpyu, (6.22) inches each in Thaton and Dawei, (6.06) inches in Launglon and (5.90) inches in Thandwe.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th July, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Chin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin and Chin States. STATE OF THE SEA:Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 -12)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
