SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region and Rakhine, Kayin States and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (5.43) inches in Kyauktaw, (4.25) inches in Ye, (3.66) inches in Myauk  U, (3.51) inches each in Payathonsu and Launglon, (3.23) incheseach in Kyeikdon and Dawei, (3.11) inches each in Tamu and Maungdaw, (2.94) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (2.67) inches in Kataingti(Hpapun), (2.37) inches in Thandwe, (2.30) inches in Paing Kyone, (2.29) inches in Naypyitaw (Dekkhinathiri), (2.28) inches in Shan-Ywar-Thirt and (2.09) inches in Mudon.

BAY INFERENCE:According to the observation at (13:30)hrs MST today, the low pressure area over NorthwestBay of Bengal now lies over Northwest Bay of Bengal (off north Odisha-West Bengal coasts) still persists.Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24thJuly, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Chin, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Continuations of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States
