SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours,weather has been partly cloudy in Magway Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions, scattered in Upper Sagaing, BagoRegions andKayahState, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon Region and KayinState.The noteworthy amount of rainfallrecorded were(7.32) inches in Mudon,(6.46) inchesinKyeikkhame, (5.63)inches in Mawlamyine,(5.43) inches inKya-In-Seikkyi,(5.31) inchesinKyeikmayaw, (5.28) inches in Chaungsone, (5.20) inches in Launglon, (4.65)inches in Dawei, (3.82) inches each in Myitkyina and Mogaung and (3.63) inches in Coco Island.

BAY INFERENCE:Monsoon isstrong to vigorous over theAndaman Sea andSouth Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th July, 2021:Rainor thundershowers will bescattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing,Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kayah State and widespreadin the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Sea will bemoderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (6-8)feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
