SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been sacttered in Magway Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kayin, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (4.92) inches in Kanbalu, (4.84) inches in Pinlaebu, (4.33) inches in Pakokku, (4.29) inches in Myauk U, (3.12) inches in Kawthaung, (3.03) inches in Gwa, (2.52) inches in Mingin, (2.25) inches in Homalin, (2.20) inches in Taungkok, (2.07) inches in Taungtha(Agro), (2.05) inches in Phyu, (1.93) inches in Myaungmya, (1.86) inches in Ann, (1.74) inches each in Kani and Nyaung Oo, (1.68) inches in Tagaung(Agro) and (1.65) inches each in Pauk and Hainggyigyun.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weakelsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th July, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Kachin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic,Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (5-7)feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Moderate to strong monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
