SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been scattered in Magway Region and Shan State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kyeikkhame (7.48)inches, Kalaywa (4.17)inches, Naunglaybin (3.81)inches, Kyeikmayaw (3.77)inches, Shwegyin (3.53)inches, Tamu (3.46)inches, Thaton (3.19)inches, Kyainseikkyi (2.94)inches, Madauk and Homalin (2.87)inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is strong in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 10th July, 2015: Rain will be scattered in Shan State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of decrease of rain in the Central Myanmar areas.
