SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Shan (Northern and Eastern) State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Rakhine State, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Kachin State. The observed highest Ultra Violet indexes were Naypyitaw (9.9), Yangon (5.5) and Mandalay (11+). The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Machambaw (3.86)inches, Yay (1.57)inches, Minbu (1.26)inches, Pinlaung and Hinthada (1.02) inches each and Sittwe (0.98) inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 6th June, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin, Chin, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine State and scattered in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Bago,Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.
